5 Benefits of Curry Leaves

P/S : Dear my lil sister, please read this if you wanna know :P

Curry leaves, also known as kadi patta in hindi, is one of the common seasoning ingredients that is added to almost every dish to enhance its taste and flavour. However, rather than eating this humble leaf (which is slightly bitter in taste), most of us just throw it away. But have you ever wondered if you have to throw this leaf then why did our mothers (even our ancestors) use this leaf to every food preparation. Hmmmm...

So here are some of the health benefits of curry leaves !

1. Helps keep anaemia at bay
Curry leaves are a rich source of iron and folic acid. Interestingly, anaemia is not only about the lack of iron in your body but also about the body’s inability to absorb iron and use it. This is where folic acid comes into play. Folic acid is mainly responsible for iron absorption and since kadi patta is a rich source of both the compounds it is your one-stop natural remedy to beat anaemia. Here is how eating beetroot can help fight anemia.
2. Protects your liver from damage
If you are a heavy drinker, eat a lot of fish or indulge in other activities that could be damaging your liver, then you must eat curry leaves. This is because, according to a study published in AsianJournal of Pharmaceutical and Clinical Research[1], curry leaves were protect your liver from oxidative stress and harmful toxins that build-up in your body due to the presence of kaempferol, a potent antioxidant. The highly effective anti-oxidative property when combined with vitamin A and C not only protects the liver but also stimulates the organ to work more efficiently.
3. Maintains your blood sugar levels
A study published in the Journal of Plant food for Nutrition[2], found that curry leaves lower your blood sugar levels by affecting the insulin activity. Apart from this, the presence of fiber in the leaves plays a significant role in controlling your blood sugar levels. Additionally, kadi patta is known to improve digestion and alter the way your body absorbs fat, thereby helping you lose weight. This is particularly of significance for people who are obese and suffer from diabetes. Read about expert tips to follow a diabetic diet
4. Protects you from heart disease
Did you know that curry leaves have properties that can help in lowering one’s blood cholesterol levels? Well, as per a study published in the Journal of Chinese Medicine [3], curry leaves prevent the oxidation of cholesterol as it is packed with antioxidants. This in turn increases the amount of good cholesterol (HDL) and protects you from heart disease and atherosclerosis.
5. Helps with digestion
Curry leaves are known to be carminative in nature and thus, is highly effective against indigestion. Once ingested, it helps in the digestion process along with aiding in excretion.  In Ayurveda, it is believed that kadi patta has mild laxative properties that not only help the stomach get rid of unwanted waste and ‘ama’ (or toxic waste) and balances out the pitta levels in the body.

Actually there a lot more benefits of the curry leaves. But I just write this five in this entry. So if you wanna know more, you can just google about it. ;)
Thats all from me, thankyou for reading.

Love the one who loves Allah :')

I hope one day I will meet with the right person at the right time. I want a good husband so me, myself have to be a good muslimah first. :')

Handle your stress!

Here goes a short story, maybe you have heard about this before.. but its not a problem. Just relax and read~

How heavy is this glass of water? The answer will surprise you. A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they'd be asked the"half empty or half full" question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired : "How heavy is this glass of water?" Answers called out range from 8 oz. to 20 oz. She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn't change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." she continued, "The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed - incapable of doing anything." So, remember to put the glass down ;).

CaResFy

We are Caresfy <3. Caresfy which  stands for Camaraderie Resplendent Unify :). I really like that name. Chincaaa.. kui3. There are seven of us including me. Our members are  Aqasyah, Adlina Isa, Zakiah, Hidayah, Najihah, Rahimah and of course, me :>. I love them so much. All of our fondest memories when we were in high school will never fade and will always have a place in my heart.

I miss at the moment when we cant go back home during the weekend. After breakfast at 7 am, instead of going back to the dorm, we will walk together along the 'sharodz hill' while laughing and making jokes. After that we will choose to play either badminton, volley ball or skipping. We even played 'baling selipar'. That was the most fun game that we ever played. I am not good at that game, so I often lose. But my twinny (hoho), Ad, is a pro. She is the one who is always winning the game ;P.

There were so many things that we've been through, even the happiest and the saddest part. We did had a fight and the funniest thing was that we made a small court.. and Aqasyah was the judge. Hahahaha >.< what a funny and happy moment to remember. We were in form three at that time. In form four, most of us entered different classes, took different subjects :'). Eventhough we are far from each other (not really) but our heart are yet so near :).

And now everyone has entered different universities. Everyone is a success.. I hope they will achieve what they want in this life. InshaAllah..

Guys.. if you read this post, I wanna tell you that I really love every each of you. Thank you for making sweet memories with me. Thank you for letting me in your group members. Thank you for making my day. Thank you for being there when I really need you. Thank you because you dont make me feel lonely. I am so grateful and feel blessed with the present of all of you. Please forgive me if I ever make you hurt..and thank you for accepting me. Alhamdulillah :)

I hope our bonds will only grow stronger and remain forever. Ameen.. I love you. :)

                                                                                                                  Sincerely,
                                                                                              Your beloved friend<3
